Short Story proposal

Exposition: Hannah Jackson a 18 year old high school senior is months away from graduation when suddenly she is in a tragic car accident. Her left leg is in terrible condition and the only way she is going to college is on a full scholarship for soccer. With the odds against her Hannah is determined to get better before graduation,but there is just no way.

Inciting incident: The school year is ending and this is last big party before graduation and everyone who is anyone will be there. Hannah is contemplating on going because she has a really important soccer game the following day and she knows it will be a bad idea to go. But her friends convince her to go and that they will only be there for a little bit. But what happens at the party will forever change hannahs life and will have a big impact on her soccer career.

Rising Action: Driving up to the party hannah and her friend sabrina are immediately greeted with a hug and a cup of beer from their other friend claire. Hannah denies the drink because sabrina just heard that hannah's boyfriend was at the party so she is eager to find him. Its been about an hour and the party is kind of boring so hannah decides to leave but has to use the bathroom so she heads upstairs. But instead of finding the bathroom hannah finds her boyfriend Michael and her best friend Sabrina kissing in claire's room. Hannah immediately is filled with anger and punched sabrina in the face then slaps michael. Hannah is feeling very overwhelmed so she just runs downstairs gets in her car and just starts driving reaching well over 80 mph.

Climax: Hannah is now in the car crying and shouting and is feeling so irrational. Then to add fuel to the fire her phone is going crazy she is recieving text messages,phone calls even emails because her friend are all worried about her! She is very hesitant but then she receives a text from Michael saying “i’m sorry” then she just loses it! Now she's driving with one hand on the wheel trying to reply (keep in mind it is 10pm and very dark out) and she has completly zoned out and is not even looking at the road,she hasn't even noticed that she is swirving onto the other side of the road. Next thing she hears is *honk* *honk* and as soon as she looks up BAM the car on the opposite side of the road rams right into her brand new BMW!! Hannahs cars flips over and she is unconscious and her head is bleeding really bad.

Falling action: Now Hannah is in the hospital,she's actually been here for about 5 days but is just now waking up. There's tubes in her mouth and she can't even feel her left leg. Doctors say that if she ever wants to play soccer again that she has to have this big surgery that cost over $60,000 and her leg will be like new again. Hannah's parents are struggling so they can't really afford this but if they don’t pay then there is no way hannah can get her soccer scholarship which means no college. Now her parents need to find away to get the money for the surgery because they know for a fact they cannot afford college.

Resolution: Hannah’s parents have been saving up for over 3 years to get this new big house out in Los Angeles and finally move out of connecticut.But it looks like they will have to put dreams on hold because they would rather send their daughter to college and get her the help she needs. So yes Hannah does go through with surgery and should be fully recovered before the season starts.
